“The mystical experience may just be what it feels like when you deactivate the brain’s default mode network. This can be achieved….. perhaps also by means of certain breathing exercises like holotropic breathwork” – Michael Pollan, “How To Change Your Mind” – Michael Pollan, “How To Change Your Mind”

The therapeutic benefits of [Stanislav Grof’s] Holotropic Breathwork are remarkable. The healing of illness, anxiety, depression and conflict, the release and healing of trauma and abuse, the reintegration with family and community, the opening of compassion, forgiveness, courage and love, the reclaiming of purpose, the finding of our lost soul and the higher insights of spiritual understanding all come spontaneously from the unfolding of this powerful process.
– Jack Kornfield, Author of A Path With Heart and 11 other books, Meditation Teacher, Founder of Spirit Rock Meditation Center

I had the most amazing experience of my life in my Holotropic Breathwork workshop breathing session.  I clearly understood, for the first time in my life, that I am completely cared for by the universe  and, as a result, my perspective on life since the workshop has been completely transformed.  Also, I have always been keenly afraid of dying.  In the workshop, I felt like I actually experienced my own death, I went to the light and it was actually a beautiful experience to go back to “the source” as I experienced it.  Now, I am no longer afraid of death.  I just see it as the next phase in my journey. D.B., Los Angeles, Participant at recent Holotropic Breathwork Workshop!

Our next all day Holotropic Breathwork Workshop is at Topanga Community Club in Topanga Canyon.  It is a perfect location for a breathwork workshop as you really feel that you have left the city behind as you drive into Topanga which makes it much easier to allow your mind to release its every day thoughts and allow you to fully experience the power of the breath.    The “early bird registration”  price which is available on or before March 14th is $244.  After March 14th, the price increases to $269. Hope you can join us!!!!

Topanga Breathing Room

Holotropic Breathwork is a modality developed by Dr. Stan Grof to allow participants to access the healing potential of non-ordinary states of consciousness through breath and music. This brings you a personalized experience that can result in such things as  more joy and freedom in personal relationships, resolution of childhood trauma, a transpersonal satori type of breathwork/breathing experience of union with the universe, a deeper understanding of the purpose and meaning of your life, a sense of being more grounded and centered in your life, and a more profound sense of connection to the world around you.

For those of you who are from out of town and are looking for a low cost motel to stay at not too far to the event site, you can try:  Knight’s Inn, Woodland Hills.  Cost per night is approximately $75.  There are also other hotels and motels in Woodland Hills to choose from.

Sonia Telle, Saemi Nakamura,  and Dana Huffman   will also be joining me on the facilitator team for this event.  CLICK HERE to see Facilitator Bios.

Please note that we do workshops in Topanga in the April/May period and then again in mid November when the weather should be mild.  Although there is a heater in the room, there is no A/C so there is always a small risk that if there is an unusual heat wave that the breathing room could be a bit on the warm side.
