Thank you for your interest in Holotropic Breathwork! I am looking forward to seeing you at the upcoming Holotropic Breathwork Introductory Seminar that you registered for.
You can look forward to a very special evening. You will find out about Holotropic Breathwork, how it was developed, why it works, etc and also have an actual one hour breathwork experience for you to get a sense of what this type of breathwork is like and what results you can expect from an actual full day Holotropic Breathwork Workshop where the specific format that Dr. Grof (the creator of Holotropic Breathwork) developed is followed which includes three hour breathing sessions. Many participants at these intros have reported extremely profound experiences even from this short, one hour process. Refreshments will be served. . You do not have to bring anything except for an open heart. Everything you need will be provided for you. However, I would not wear any clothing that is too tight around the waist or chest to allow for unconstricted deeper breathing. Also, it is best not to eat a large meal just before you come. The event starts at 7:00pm but you are invited to come as early as 6:30pm if you can to have time to relax and hang out a bit before the event starts but please arrive a few minutes early so we can get started on time) IN ORDER TO ATTEND THIS EVENT, YOU MUST STAY UNTIL IT IS OVER AT 10:00PM. The address is 18 Ozone Avenue, Venice, CA 90291. My phone number is 310-399-9992 if you have any questions (this is a landline, it does not accept texts) Directions and parking suggestions are as follows: Get to the 10 Freeway. Take the 10 Frwy West. Exit 4th Street in Santa Monica. Take a left on 4th Street to Ocean Park Blvd. Take a right (west) on Ocean Park Blvd. Continue on Ocean Park until you get to Neilson Way. Make a left on Neilson Way. Continue on Neilson Way/Pacific Avenue (Neilson changes name to Pacific Avenue after the 4th signal but it is still the same street). Continue on Pacific Avenue until you get to Rose Avenue (6th signal light after Ocean Park). Make a right and park in public beach lot at end of street. The lot will cost about $4.00 – $5.00 after 6pm to park there (even if there is not an attendant, you need to pay at the pay station and leave the ticket on the dashboard). When you enter the lot, park as close as possible to the parking lot entrance. Walk back up Rose Avenue for about 30 yards and then turn left on an alley called Speedway. Walk past one alley and then turn right onto Ozone Avenue (it is a walk street). It will be the first house on your right—18 Ozone Avenue. It is surrounded by a redwood fence and has big pine trees in the front yard. There is also street parking. After 6pm you might be able to find a free parking spot on Rose Avenue or Main Street if you want to look for street parking and are willing to walk a bit. There is also a free lot (after 6pm) on the corner of Main Street and Rose Avenue (which is about a block and a half away from me) across from CVS, which you might also want to try. There are a few spots in the area where you have to leave at 10pm which I would not advise using as sometimes, depending on the number of questions that participants have, the event can run until as late as 10:15pm or so. Reminder: The following can be contra-indications to doing breathwork: epilepsy, glaucoma, detached retina, pregnancy, serious cardiovascular disease, uncontrolled high blood pressure, prior diagnosis of either bipolar disorder or schizophrenia by a medical professional, history of aneurysms in immediate family, prior hospitalization due to an emotional crisis within the last 10 years, strokes or other brain/neurological condition, use of prescription blood thinners such as coumadin. If you have any of the above, please e-mail me before attending to discuss. Also, if you have asthma, please bring your inhaler. Blessings, Michael Stone, Certified Holotropic Breathwork Facilitator P.S. I will send you a reminder email the week before the event. |
